These two songs were originally demoed by Anousheh for a follow-up to her debut, the first release by Triple Stamp Records: “Let the Ground Know Who’s Standing On Him.” The tracks feature her live band at the time which included Michael Satterfield on drums (of Mermaid Skeletons fame) and Allen Bergendahl, of Viking Recording Co., on bass. A rocker and a ballad, these sides have a raw live energy that demands attention, and a strong emotional core that Anousheh’s voice underlines with compelling beauty.
